A Ford Ranger? OMG! Ever driven one? I have... The iX is probably even better offroad, on the road, it's not worth comparing at all.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum

We'll just have to wait a couple more years to really see the effect. There will be one, that I'm sure of. Would wrapping your head with metal foil help? ;-) At work, all regular phones have been replaced with cell phones now, if I would live in the States, I'd sue them ;-)by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
There's a white line coming out of the pit straight, that line is there for a reason... Disqualify the safety car driver? This track isn't really suited to keep this kind of races, it is waaay to narrow. You'd feel uncomfortable driving side by side at normal traffic speeds, let alone racing.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

Looks like I don't need to repeat the compressed air warning. Just don't! Best seat covers are fresh clothes, or as John suggests: get an extra seat. I guess any seat cover will rub over your original fabric and kill it in the end.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
It's been said before and it'll be said many times again: this place ROCKS!by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
Another Motronic link Looks like yours should be a 1.3 (88 onwards). The eta engine might have it as well, though very limited.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
Interesting... Wonder what the difference is then.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
Just one will do, bearings can last very long if they're good.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
The econo gauge reading is calculated on injector duty cycle and speed. No throttle input needed. (And no correction for fuel pressure, I think) If I'm right, our Motronics open the injectors (split in 2 banks) once every two crankshaft revolutions during normal running. Below 600 rpm all injectors are opened every crankshaft revolution. You should check your camshaft sensor/connectorby Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
The econo gauge story makes me think it is the fuel supply, if it stops supplying fuel and there's engine rotation, it will give you infinitely large fuel economy (in mpg), thus moving to the left.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
Ugh... Didn't I say really thick grease? No, you're right, it might mess up things. Didn't think of it, it just doesn't get that hot here that often...by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
Never really had issues with this, though I usually roll down the window below 90 kph. I hardly ever use the heater, even around freezing temperatures - I just like the cold. Actually the dash vents are almost exclusively used in the summertime, to put outside air into the car. When I need heating, I direct it toward the feet (as hot air raises by itself), or to the windscreen, to defog. @by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum

I was invited to go visit an exhibition set up by a friends gf's father, on Saroléa, a belgian motor company that has now disappeared. There's pictures on their site, I just love the way these old things were put together. Last summer I was in France in a museum, which houses the Schlumph collection. QuoteEarendil If you lift a wheel up and give it a spin, a grinding noise from the center of the wheel might indicate bad wheel bearings. Is that what you mean? If you want to check a wheel bearing, jack up the wheel and spin it. Now feel the spring. If you can feel vibrations, the bearing is to be suspected.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum
For its age, the E30 ABS is a pretty good thing. Sure, modern ABS's are better, but for its age it was good.by Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum

What condition is it in? And what engine does it have? If it looks like a good car to enjoy working on and driving, why not? If you're bank account allows it, of course.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
I still have the issue that I can't load the page for 50% of the time. I need to reload to get to the log in page. The second attempt always works. I'm using Opera 10.0, but I've had this on previous versions too. Is Opera incompatible with Phorum software at times? What can be done to solve this?by Michiel 318iS - Suggestions and questions
