Can't you make control arms like the blue ones yourselves, made out of two halves that bolt together, so you can replace them with the strut in place?by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
Officially not, for privacy reasons. I don't believe the police would help you bringing back a lost SD card.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

The Dutch plate appears to be an older French plate, dept 34 (last two digits in the plate), south of France. The Citroën comes from about 100 km south of Paris, Montargis region, so could also be a local's vehicle.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
There should also be a number on the right corner of the Peugeot's license plate, in the blue field. Can you read that? It indicates the region the car (département) comes from.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
She's like a nice car with the wrong add-ons. Nice quest though. Those two license plates are French, any chance you could read the Dutch license plate on the VW Passat (black on yellow). That town you mentionned is only 4 hours from here, I'd be happy to bring the card ;-)by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
Winter is skipping a year, so it seems. At least where I live. I can only express the thickness of snow in millimeters (about 2 mm). Good for heating costs, worse for winter driving pleasure. Enjoy the snow and keep it safe!by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

QuoteJose Pinto The age is not the key factor here, you can have a 20 year car working right versus a newer faulty one... As long as a car can be kept in good condition, it should consume as much fuel as when it was new. Fuel consumption should remain about the same indeed, what I meant was that it was produced 8 years ago and designed a couple of years earlier, newer cars have more technologyby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
QuoteMichiel 318iS The E46 is so good, no warning light has ever come up (except for the airbag light, due to a bad wire contact after sliding the seat back) over the last 70.000 km. I should have shut my mouth... Today my oil level light came up. Oil was leaking out of the oil filter. I probably wasn't careful enough when screwing the cover in and caused the o-ring to move upward a bitby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
One week's holiday (E46 had a week of rest) I got back to work, we had two days with storm this week and temperatures got a little colder, I ended the fuel tank at 5.24 l/100 km (calculated - 44.9 US and 53.9 IMP mpg), covered 1051 km (653 mls) averaging 88.4 km/h (55 mph). Not bad for an 8 (almost 9) year old!by Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
An example: Change air filter on E30: 5 min job Change air filter on E46 320d: 45 min job (first time I ever did it) On the other hand: Change cabin air filter on E46: 30 second job Change cabin air filter on some EU Ford's: 2 hour job (need to take out throttle pedal, try not to break the central console plastic, break the old filter when removing and almost break the new filter upby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
The EU Fiesta is quite a good car and handles very well (recent EU Fords have a lovely tendency for controlable oversteer right when you want it, if you manage to switch the ESC off), a bit to hard for the non car lovers. Haven't got much experience with the US set up Fiesta. The US set up Focus is fun but not as fast as the EU Focus (4dr has more mass behind the rear wheels, a more comforby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk

I wouldn't be affraid to buy such thing, it looks in a pretty good condition considering its age. What's with the passenger side airbag panel?by Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
Not to disappoint you, but I'm setting a personal record on the E46 at the moment: 3.9 l/100 km (72.4/60.3 IMP/US mpg) on the OBC (which is 4.9 (57.6/48.0 IMP/US mpg) in reality), over 440 km (207 m), averaging just under 90 km/h (56 mph). Hail to my winter tyres (summer tyres are much wider), warm weather (10°C at the end of December) and low traffic density (end of December again)! Dieby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk

Hah! I was quite sure this couldn't happen on a Fiesta, as we've tested it on that. Many many times! The Fusion I have nothing to do with it, that a US product, we all know that is inferior quality (actually, that isn't true, drove a Fusion once and I was quite surprised).by Michiel 318iS - Car Talk

A VW mini MPV: My girl has it as a company car. It has a 105 hp diesel engine, which is enough to drive around in our flat part of the country, just came back from the French speaking part of Belgium, there the engine had to work a bit harder. Doesn't really matter, it should carry our family, not race the streets, that's what the BMW is for (yes, even if it's a diesel).by Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
Why crazy? It's a nice and practical car. The only reason my E46 is a 4 door instead of a Touring is that fuel consumption is just a tiny bit lower. On the practical side I'm way behind the Touring, I can hardly fit our baby boy's stuff in the trunk, but hey, that's why we have the Touran. 528i's are rather rare around here, as we have to pay quite a lot of taxes on tby Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
M52B20? M52B25? M52B28? The latter one I asume. Every 5-series has been a nice car, hope you have a lot of fun with it! Here in Europe people would call you crazy, flying out and driving back 7 hours just to pick up a car.by Michiel 318iS - Car Talk
