How does it feels like to be the winning team on 2WD?by Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteX Mon™ Thanks Ferd! I just found out about this post from a co-worker, and the secret is out. I'm a closet BMW guy as well. Here's the "nice" iX: Nice white iX, are there pictures from the 2002?by Jose Pinto - Community Forum
The podium ceremony at Macau, last weekend. http://youtu.be/nIGTkWJvMg4 António Felix da Costa won, and while the Portuguese flag is raised, another anthem is heard. Because nobody fixes the moment, the crowd of supporters improvises the "A Portuguesa" anthem. The guys speaking are Spanish, and they only figures what happened when the crowd starts to sing. Sorry for the rant. You can find lots of car adds here: Obviously any seasoned car sale price depends strongly on it's condition and "carisma".by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
QuoteBob in Everett I wonder just what an antique car would be worth in Europe. This one is in such nice shape that I am reluctant to give it up but for the right price I could be persuaded. Keep it. There is no money in Europe, just austerity and all time high taxes. We have no money for gasoline, why bother to buy a nice car?! http://www.lefigaro.fr/economie/ Those guys complain, andby Jose Pinto - Car Talk

QuoteArcheo-peteriX You're right about that...haven't had a single problem since I sold it I had a problem, the money was spent relly quick! QuoteArcheo-peteriX well not real ones but why is it so quiet here? A little storm on the North East coast shouldn't have stopped the E30s from getting around Seriously though, there is a bit of an echo in here lately. Have we all just retired the E30s like Cab or are they all running perfectly so that there are no problems to report or ask about...F10 fuses aside E30s last foreverby Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteBob in Everett I can see where the old weights were and the new ones are about the same size and are about 20 deg from the old. I checked the wheels by jacking up the car and spinning them with an indicator next to the wheel. Also measured the runout of the tread surface and the wheels are fine but the tread is about 1/16 inch runnout. I think this is close to the limits. The destressingby Jose Pinto - Community Forum

Quoterkj QuoteArcheo-peteriX Quoterkj QuoteDave_G Since this has come up again, there's always the new Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 (that's all one car). It's kind of boy-racerish, and at $25K-$30K not real cheap, but cheaper than a new BMW and looks interesting. I really thought both these cars would change everything. Good job! I have painted steel wheels before, with those canned spary paint, never ventured to do the alooy wheels. I did the hood of an old car once, and it took 4 cans and still came out knind of strange... Spary paint has more to it than it looks when you see someone who knows painting... QuoteMichiel 318iS I wish budget discussions ended up the same way here. Or at least the animation around the discussions. ..Perhaps not. The proposal is mostly a raise in taxes equivalent to one more month of salary, compared to 2012 (and we are now at all time maximum taxes). In practice, I work 4 months for taxes this year, will make 5 next year. Those images make the news because all theby Jose Pinto - Community Forum

When money is tight, the enthusiasm has to give way to reason. I ended up with the w124, it's returning me below 7l/100km as expected and I am not in big trouble to pay for it, as long as I have a job that pays. If I like it a lot? Not really, it's OK and I am content with it but not the first choice in my book. If I could afford anything better or more to my liking? No, and notby Jose Pinto - Car Talk

QuoteMichiel 318iS The proof that it is bullet proof: 600.000+ kms and still looking good! 24 years and going strong! Is the true chick magnet. It has some minor faults when you look closely, I must have the door linings taken care of and decide if I want to touch up the "Ivory" paint or re-paint it in the original Grey. either that or put vinil adverts, like taxis do.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
QuoteMichiel 318iS Don't agree. In everyday traffic, the high torque at low rpm makes the diesel more pleasant to drive, if you want a (turbo) petrol engine with the same feeling your fuel consumption will go north. As much as I like petrols, I'd prefer a diesel for the daily stuff. We are going into personal taste here. First I don't drive much in the city, my comute is likeby Jose Pinto - Car Talk
Well, that kind of failures is really annoying, but any car will do something like that. My 323i overheated the first trip to my parents (my mother: "told you the car was to old to be good!...") and several times after, only cured it with the complete set of tubes, new expansion tank and cap, viscous coupling and the third coolant refill and bleed.
