Aloha Friday,
For the last few days my 87 325iC had an intermittent engine hick-up, eventually cutting off completely. Fuse 11 did not have power while cranking, so checked - main relay connections, OK. - fuel pump relay connections, OK. - fuel pump test by jumping relay, OK. So proceeded to CPS, readings were not within range of .500 to .600ohms. as specified. Swapped CPS, fuse 11 came alive when cranking and car started right up. Mahalos and have a fun and safe memorial day weekend. |

Yup, I love it when they can fix it themselves, so what's a CPS, crank position sensor? Is that the sensor that reads the notched pulley up front? Hi Frank, how did you check this sensor please? Cheers, Rick |
