coolant for a E30

Hi all,
I've recently did the timing belt on my 90 E30. While I was in there I flushed the radiator system and put in the "yellow" Prestone at a 50/50 mix. Now, my buddie is saying "you can't run that stuff, only run green in a E30". I can't find much out there on the internet other than if I flush the system well, it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone got any experience with this? I know that this old of car probably came with the green, but is the yellow that detrimental to the system that I should flush it all out again?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

I think all the "new" fluids are compatible with the aluminum parts of the cooling system and engine. I have used Prestone in my E-30 for years with no issues of leaking in the radiator or corrosion of the thermostat housing.

Like Bob, I am using Prestone, no issues. Used to use Peak and one day it became really hard to fine where I live, Prestone for the last 7 years.
