Why did you go for Z-rated tyres? You don't need those and could mean a real difference in the price. The MOMO's weren't bad for aftermarket wheels but these look SO much better.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
What is a "huge puddle" in the driveway? Any pictures? Small amounts of fluids can cause large puddles, it's hard to relate the size of a puddle to an amount of fluid. Try a bucket of water. See what size of a puddle that makes. As said, you probably didn't run it long or hard enough to do real damage. As long as there is some stuff in there keeping it greasy, it canby Michiel 318iS - Technical Forum

Ugh... A brand new one? Why? It'll never beat the E30!by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
Is your car lowered? Has it had its camber changed? I wouldn't run too hard shocks as well. My E30 has an open diff, which makes it a bit harder to make a start in slippery conditions, but once rolling it is a joy to drive. I'm sure you were replying to jaffar's post I am looking for a dash cam, I'd like to find a cheaper version of what we use at work (small cam with CompactFlash storage).by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
Haha, they should have known tail driven articulated busses don't like slippery conditions. They should have bought mid-wheel driven articulated busses... In Finland, one of the busses I was on, had the engine up front and the drive in the rear, to distribute the weight. The driver was sitting next to a large box lined with carpet, funny sight.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

I guess the rest of the world hasn't noticed, but our government fell over a suspected attempt of the government to influence a trial. We've been adrift like an out of control ship for over the past 19 months now, not being able to install a stable government. Over the years, there've been numerous incidents with politicians acting beyond their competences, not much happens. Atby Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

Quotenomis3613I'd love to help with the scientific testing Peter, but a couple of problems: my odometer needs new gears (slipping, so it under-reads) and I catch the train to work so a tank of gas usually lasts me over a month (some of you guys are probably crying when you read that!!). Yeah, the iX rocks, I missed mine a lot when we had our roads covered in 5 cm of snow a couple of weeks ago. The iS wasn't on winter tyres, didn't matter, traffic was keeping me up (did 4h15m over 130 km). Anyway, I was surprised at how safe people feel in their SUV's. Sure, they have better traction off the line and ESP corrects for all the little starts of a slide that regulby Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
Every crash sucks, even if insurance covers it all. Over here, we're supposed to inform the police when anyone is hurt (even slightly). Leaving the site of an accident without exchanging your data is a crime (even when the other party is not at the scene, in that case you can leave your data at the vehicle and you have to report to the police within 24 h). Gods? Are there any? I was just looking for a car with good power to weight ratio (and the outcome of that to money ratio). The E36's and E46's aren't really an option then, as most other RWD's. Taxes and insurance would beat the last penny out of my pocket. A Focus ST has 225 hp (easily tunable to a reliable 265 hp) out of a 2.5 5 cylinder, great handling, a bit too muchby Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
And found them still way too expensive... Currently working with the new Ford Focus RS (great car: lots of power, good handling and very easy to drive, maybe a bit too easy for the enthousiast), I was looking for a successor for my car, looking for a bit of performance. The 320si has a too low performance to price ratio to my likings. I even might get away from RWD and get a Focus ST - dullby Michiel 318iS - Community Forum

As far as I see there's no effect on performance, action is reaction. And as Peter says, the seats need to match the coil plus there needs to be sufficient clearance around the spring, lengthwise, inner and outer side.by Michiel 318iS - Community Forum
