Probably could take it to a muffler shop and have them modify it for you for a few bucks and not have to worry about the hogged out holes letting the gaskets out.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Technical Forum
Peter, Is the Fiat going to be more reliable than they used to be? I have heard we are going to be able to get them here eventually but ... I do not plan to "upgrade" from my E-30 for a long time. When one already has the chariot of the gods, one need not even frequent the showrooms.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Car Talk
Spent most of the Independence day weekend changing the timing belt on my cabrio. It only had a little over 40,000 and exactly 4 years on the belt. The belt looked to be in really good condition and not loose at all. It was a good opportunity to do a few other items I had been neglecting. One of them is the valve adjust. They were not noisy but maybe too quiet so thought perhaps not enoughby Bob in Lake Havasu - Car Talk
Beautiful day here today and for Independence Day the forecast severe clear.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
How much trouble was the card to remove from the car? I have wanted to inspect mine for a incorrect connection resulting from an after market alarm installation now that the alarm does not work....by Bob in Lake Havasu - Technical Forum
There is a fusible link type element on the control card. Check the archive on the wayback machine and there you will find an article with pictures of the repair.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Technical Forum

The reason I thought you must have been home was that your profile said that your last activity was 6:13. I must have miss read it. Got a really nice birthday gift from the whole family....see attached. Been wanting one for years. Hey what is up with selling the stock radio. Did not know you had parts for sale.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Car Talk
Thanks for the compliment but there were lots of awesome cars there. The one with the 3.5L and the new upholstery was sure nice. Badged 335iC... Very nice.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum

Wow, I better keep mine in good shape. My insurance company just looks at the Kelly Blue Book value. The E-30 picnic is Sunday at the LeMay museum near Tacoma, Washington. I entered my car and plan to attend and take a bunch of pictures. This link has a collage of nice pictures from last year. Bobby Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
Maybe I should ship my cabrio to Europe and see if I can get a good price for it.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
Oops, my conversion factor was wrong. I only have 343,000 km. I was using the pounds to kilo conversion... must be getting a few memory cells mixed up.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
I can vouch for the ageism effect. Before I was 40 I would get a job offer from almost any interview I went on and it was not difficult to get an interview. I tried to change jobs when I was 42 thinking it would be easy to move to something interesting. I had a hard time getting interviews and no offers. Eventually did get a headhunter to find me a job in a related field but beyond that, everby Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
There are some pictures in this link. A few were E-30 and even a couple of M3 E-30 were there.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Car Talk

Tomorrow morning I will join the BMW CCA Puget Sound club for a drive around some twisty roads of Western Washington. About 3 hours of adventure with a bunch of other Bimmerheads. Most will be newer cars but I will try to keep up in my little old E30. I have 206,000 on the clock now (over 453,000 km) now. Just put some conditioner on the leather seats in preparation. Forecast is for severe cby Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
Seems impossible with human nature the way it is. Ever since the first two brothers were born and one killed the other, it has been the same. One of the most difficult memorials I have ever seen is the Vietnam war memorial in Washington DC. It was all I could do to walk the length of it. When I saw the design proposal I did not like it but it is the most moving of all of them. Probablyby Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
Does being laid off from the regular payroll (employee and permanent are mutually exclusive) mean that you are eligible for unemployment insurance compensation?by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
USAF 1969-1973. Went to Europe, Africa, Iran, USSR on various duty assignments. Stayed away from Vietnam, my brother went there and recommended not to go there.by Bob in Lake Havasu - Community Forum
I have attended the past two years. Did not exhibit the first year but had my spare cabrio at the LeMay event last year. Had a for sale sign on it. The guy who had the car with the E-36 M motor conversion featured there is a friend of my son. He provides me parts from some part outs that he has done. I plan to attend again this year. Not sure which car to take this year. My daily driverby Bob in Lake Havasu - Car Talk
