QuoteArcheo-peteriX Quoterkj Are these older air bags something one wants to be in front of, seems like a libabilty to me. New, old; it doesn't matter. If you are not sitting directly in front of it, as in driving or being a passenger, the force of an air-bag on the side of the head is enough to break your neck. Hi guys, on my 88 325is the timer button on the OBC the square lamp in the button stays on even when the key is off and out. The button under it (that starts the timer), when you hit it that same lamp comes on bright and starts the timer as usual but when the timer is shut off the low brightness light never goes out. QuoteDave_G I put the O2 relay in the place of the fuel pump relay, and... it worked perfectly. I couldn't even really tell that anything was missing. It's funny that there are two identical relays rubbing shoulders under the hood, and one of them is needed to run the car, and the other one is almost optional! So, after the trip up in monsoon rains we were lucky and got some great weather to have fun in. I must say the Continentals DWS tires were a wonder driving in to places that had a good inch or so standing water; at some points that was mile after mile. QuoteDave_G QuoteFerdinand That said, it's a safety issue in that pin-30 on the fuel pump relay goes straight to the battery and is hot all the time. Well, it was a wet trip up with downpours most of the way. At one point I had to pull over and take a break on 5 and give 91 a break. I don't understand (even with regular, non driving humans) how people can be so stupid on the road, especially in rough weather. No lights on and they speed up and pass you and then sit there right in front of you and make it even more hard to see. And usiby rkj - Community Forum

QuoteBob in Everett Another thing to keep in mind is that the gage in the instrument cluster does not tell you what the temp is...when centered, it says it is in the normal range which can be quite large. QuoteBob in Everett Our E-38 has a similar cooling system. There will probably be a crack in the tank where the pressure sensor is. It lets the coolant out and if the sensor has failed as they can do...you will be out of coolant. The coolant can also sneak out of the cap is it is not tighened correcly...ask me how I know that. QuoteMichiel 318iS Are you sure water is being pumped around? Might be it is clogged somewhere. What height is your water pump located relative to the engine block/head? Quotealanrw If the car passed a cooling system pressure test, you should be good to go. I think the E30 needs the coolant system bled of air after refilling it. Hi Kelly, It might be a clutch, hanging up a touch making it hard to catch gears. Even a slightly dragging clutch will affect shifting (especially, second. It's always the most worn one.). You should try some redline oil though, it does take a few weeks to a month for it to work in but whatever you have now, it will make it better... Rickby rkj - Technical Forum
