Ten years already! Where were you on September Eleven 2001? I was working, and I remember we were following the news over the net (there was not many real time streaming TV then...) mostly text and pictures, and we called several customers we had on the US, they were as puzzled as we were. I know little to none useful work was done after lunch that day ...by Jose Pinto - Community Forum
My radio had a wire connection to control the power antenna, so it goes up whenever the radio is on. Some radios have not, and one can wire it to raise the antenna when the key is on, like you have. More info on that: Perhaps you must check the wiring behind the radio, and next to the antenna. JPby Jose Pinto - Technical Forum
QuoteCab Treadway Glad you guys are okay, and sorry about the cars and the tree! Maybe it's time to build that wooden E30? Best of luck in the cleanup. Gad you are well, and hope the cars can be fixed. Can the tree wood be used to build a garage for two? It would be a nice project!by Jose Pinto - Community Forum

The old electronic boards are very likely to develop problems of that kind, due to bad or cracked solders, that become annoying because the circuit fails intermittently. Fortunately newer surface mount boards and fewer discrete components made new cars a lot more reliable, but nearly impossible to repair with basic home equipment. QuoteKelly Hi All, I hope that you are well. I have been overly busy at the office which is a blessing these days if one works in the architecture and construction world. And to really top things off, I will summarize an e-mail conversation with my boss today. "Kelly - why did you send that e-mail to Ted. That was really dumb!" Like said above, I would suspect first the shift linkage and bushings, before touching the gearbox itself. Of course an oil change couldn't hurt, unless if it was just recently done. Something interesting about shift linkage bushings, as i wrote before the BX (my old car) was stolen and recovered by the police. The reason it was abandoned way before it ran out of gas was because the shifby Jose Pinto - Technical Forum

QuoteKelly Hi, Wow, interesting thread! I bought Michelins about a year ago. It did take a while for them to arrive - maybe 6 weeks. The tire shop had to "tag" them onto another order. I wonder if they were sent from Europe. Strangely the US tire shortage sound like a business opportunity. Buy a half a shipping container of tires in Portugal, ship them to the US's East Coast. QuoteFerdinand Hi Raffaello, welcome back! Does your car have power side mirrors, i.e. can you adjust their aim via the switch on the driver's armrest? Are they still working now? Don't all e30 have electric side mirrors? Do you have the wiring diagrams to trace the connections related to the fan blower?by Jose Pinto - Technical Forum

The search is a pleasure in itself, for some people! Depending on what you define as "affordable" The Chevy Cruze is priced very competitive in its range. You are looking for used or new? To buy or lease? VW are not cheap, and parts and maintenance are very expensive. The MX-5 looks a fun car to drive, specially on a weekend or holidays but perhaps not the best daily driver... Check the fuel line, in case of doubt change all the plastic tubes. Some e30 have the fuel pump below the car to the left, other (the newer models) in the tank itself, below the rear seat. Leave everything good for another 20 years.by Jose Pinto - Technical Forum

Fiat had a nasty reputation, mostly due to cars they sold at the 80's, early 90's. I don't have one myself, but people over here are more content with them than they used to.
