Maybe there would be a need to put a different method in place and have a new place to hold suspected terrorist's. Ferd sez- If a hose fails, splits or comes off, you'll notice it right away because all the coolant comes out very suddenly and makes a hell of mess. There'll be a big cloud of steam, you'll smell the coolant, and the low coolant light should come on in your overhead check panel. QuoteArcheo-peteriX QuoteCab Treadway... Don't you think that maybe we have determined that, and the people still in custody are there for a reason? The centering of the shaft of the control arm looks a little sloppy but that is probably just the angle of the picture, These bushings do have a certain way they are supposed to be set in there. They look very intact. When they're loose you can really feel it in the steering and brakes. Maybe your ball joints need attention? or other parts up front??? QuoteCab Treadway Quoterkj The fact that you're against so much of what Obama stands for puzzles me Cab. Yes, a worn control arm bushing feels like something is loose up front, usually you'll pick this up going over a speed bump or after backing up with the wheels turned and braking. If you look at them you usually can see them starting to come apart but not always, how many miles on them? Mileage is not always the tell all though, you can pop one from abuse/potholes and the like. Take aby rkj - Technical Forum
Hey Kelly, I should have warned you on the warped rotor thing around here, but a simple dial indicator reading will tell you what you want to know. The hoses should be evaluated for age, cracks, hardness and changed out accordingly. Don't rely on quick fixes. It'd be a real bust to lose a motor over a simple cheap hose. If you feel it and it doesn't seem right, don't think aboby rkj - Technical Forum

Hey Dave, The fact that the oil filter was that loose could have, and probably was, the cause of the oil not going through normal passage ways making the oil light come on because the oil was dumping overboard (I'm sure we all knew that). That said, I find it very odd that only one quart brought the level back up to normal, my guess is that the oil filter was catching some oil while dumpingby rkj - Technical Forum
