Isn't the oxygen sensor an exhaust analyzer of a sort that changes resistance as the oxygen level changes. Quoterkj Great Peter, that's good to hear. These smart meters are for electric usage for the house/store. right? Yes; they will/are replacing the old meters that we have now. QuoteBob in Everett Matt, The main pump may only come on for one second when the key is turned on. It waits until the engine starts before it runs continuously. Bob That is correct; except the shut off time is more like 30 to 90 seconds depending on the year and model of E30. The proper test is to check it when the engine is runningby Archeo-peteriX - Technical Forum
QuoteEarendil QuoteArcheo-peteriX I wish I still had my Bentley and my mind but I have to caution against your logic. My logic should always be questioned, but in this case I think it was sound. Hi Milo, The Motronic Control Unit, the DME and the CPU are all terms for the brain that controls the engine. There is also an Idle Control Module(CPU) for the idle mixture on some of the earlier(pre 1988) cars. So it is important to differentiate between them. Hi Ernest, That's a good looker for sure. The problem with mechanical chronos is not only the high price; it's the thickness. To find a thinner mechanical chrono, you really have to spend thousands of dollars or go to a quartz module. Another option is a non-automatic; ie hand winding mechanical chrono. There are not many if any Swiss or Japanese offerings in your price rangeby Archeo-peteriX - Community Forum
There is a good reason they were never sold...most Neons were mechanics nightmares before they ever left the show room floor. Look around and see how many you can still see on the road or on used car lots. Even the wholesalers won't touch these things. I don't know the differences between the various hubs but if you wanted to keep the one you have now and change the rim to match or the other way around; it's not really that big a deal to respoke a hub/rim.
