QuoteArcheo-peteriX But I'm the one who will be doing the real work of observing OK, how about this? Using the techniques passed on by Cab, I will observe (or not observe, if that's the better way) the results you achieve by either observing (or not) the lottery. If you win big, then the next time it gets up to around $100 million, I'm all in for the win. Sound good? I'

QuoteArcheo-peteriX QuoteCab Treadway I'm taking a class on quantum right now. I'll let you know at the end of the semester how you can use that to win the lottery. But you have to promise me a little kick-back. 50/50 split...that's only fair Get this figured out and I'll buy in at the BENN group purchase. Cab should get extra for doing the calculation. QuoteKelly Ugg. Sorry to learn this. Have you checked out the specialty head hunters? (Sorry if the question sounds dumb. It's not intended as such.) Kelly Not a dumb question at all. I've dealt with these kinds of guys before and I know a crew in SC that I like. They were the first people I contacted. Thanks, John

QuoteCab Treadway Sorry to hear about the layoff, man. That really sucks. Got any leads? Amazingly enough, considering the economy, I do have a couple of leads. Three actually. One is even pretty solid. I've been through this more than once before and I'm surprised at how how much easier it has been to get the attention of prospective employers this time. I think part of it must be

I know I could improve my odds of winning by actually buying a ticket. I might try that too. I got laid-off on Feb.5, so I need to do something about improving the cash flow into my house. Maybe I should just take all the money I have and buy lottery tickets. That should pretty much guarantee that I win, right? John

QuoteArcheo-peteriX So where can I move that's cheap, warm and relatively violence free Knoxville, TN. But, you will have to stop for the red lights, at least at the 15 intersections with cameras.

Quoterkj I read somewhere that there are, in some states, cameras that take pictures of cars going through yellow/red lights and then you get a ticket in the mail. We have that here in Knoxville, TN. The way it's set up here, if you get all your wheels past the stop line on yellow you're OK. I don't really have a problem with that. What caused the cameras to get installed was

QuoteCab Treadway QuoteAndy 90 325i ...it just seems like good common sense to not distribute media that strives to incite violence. My problem is that there are lots of things that seem like good common sense, until you start taking them to the next logical step. First it's media that incites violence (and yet we as a society have no problem with extraordinarily violent video games, as i

QuoteCab Treadway <huge snip> I do that, too, and by the time I post, it often bears little resemblance to what I'd thought in my head. In fact, while writing and reading this, I seem to make myself sound a lot different than I really feel. But I do feel that our security is of vital importance and we can't just throw the baby out with the bathwater. Let's clean it up

QuoteCab Treadway <snip> I am worried about how he will protect us as a country. I think closing Gitmo is short-sighted at best, downright dangerous at worst. Yes, some "icky" things probably happen there, but this is not a conventional war we're in. We are dealing with people who are not affiliated with another country or gov't, therefore there is no official de

QuoteMichiel 318iS Makes me think of a guy who bought a barn in Portugal (?), the doors were welded shut. Inside there was a massive treasure in oldtimers. I've seen the photos of that stash. There was some good stuff in there, and some scrap metal too. I think it was a known collection, though, not a surprise like some of the stories say. I don't think I mentioned it here, but la

Looks like you got some good stuff. I like hot sauce too. I like to keep some different styles on hand. Habanero is my favorite. It's pretty hot. If I get carried away and use too much it gives me the hiccups. John

Quoterkj Thanks John, I wish I could understand this more; "moving mass to a minimum", I just thought it would be more sensitive that way. I guess things like this are hard to explain or put into words. I've always liked the way, both the es and the is drove; they are very supple over the small stuff (not ridged like hard springs and you could push them into turns hard without wa

QuoteArcheo-peteriX Quoterkj QuoteMichiel 318iS As far as I see there's no effect on performance, action is reaction. And as Peter says, the seats need to match the coil plus there needs to be sufficient clearance around the spring, lengthwise, inner and outer side. On the bike the ends, both of them, are exactly the same. To have the open coils closer to the wheel makes the action very s

Hey, I just found you all. I hope that doesn't mean you'll be moving again. I was starting to get worried that this forum might have disappeared and that was bugging me. I think the knowledge base here is better than on the other e30 forums I've looked at. And there are some good watch pictures posted once in a while too. What's that Russian site that you get at the old
