QuoteBob in Everett Maybe I should ship my cabrio to Europe and see if I can get a good price for it. Shouldn't be necessary, those cars sell well anywhere: This is the first from the lot, same year as yours. Good thing is if you keep it, it will not loose value, and that is great news for cars. Another ten years and a e30 cabrio will be a very sought for classic.by Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteArcheo-peteriX Sadly, as the number of E30s on the road dwindles; so does readership and interest Unfortunately, the glory days of the E30 are in the past and only we hangers on still keep it's memory alive. Most of the remaining E30s in NA seem to have become riced up extensions of their owners with fart cans; extreme lowering jobs and paint that is so far removed from the origiby Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteMichiel 318iS Well, the BX isn't a simple car. It's suspension is quite different to what most other vehicles have, see here. Apart from the suspension, the BX is a straightforward simple car. Despite it's size (similar to an e36) it is very lightweight. But the suspension system is now old, ant all those tubes and valves and spheres and regulators are a handful at times.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
Congratulations! The baby and mother are probably exhausted after 12 hours of hard labour, please be gentle with them. Recovery from the C-section is tougher for the mother than natural ways. Quoterkj Very sorry to hear this Jose, looks like a nice car. I used to sell Citroens here in new york, loved the SM. The police don't do much around here either, have you tried searching? The Citroen BX16TRS: Have to post adds on the net, it probably is parked somewhere away from my sight, and will be there for months untill people starts to wonder why that car never leaves... Police is not going to do much about it, just list the plate as stolen/missing, and wait till it shows at some accident, parked on the wrong place or something.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
QuoteArcheo-peteriX The S-10 is a small rear wheel drive truck and it is manual. I was in third gear and the hill is very steep. Add to that the fresh moisture on the dry greasy road and you have a recipe for disaster. There are major accidents on that hill every week from people losing control(with properly working cars) Unloaded pick up trucks have the mass distribution way off from optiby Jose Pinto - Car Talk
Man, i had a brake failure once or twice and know how it feels. Couldn't you call road assistance to have the car towed? My insurance has road assistance, replacement car while car is in the shop and broken glass coverage. No theft, though. I assume your car is automatic, or the "s" road from your story could be safely made in 3rd gear, no sweat.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
My old car has been stolen from where it was parked, outside my work. It had no "market vvalue" but it was my car and i liked it, now is gone. Police say they may recover it as they seldom do, chances are someone took it for a ride and parked it somewhere far away. Now it's official, my life is at an all time worst.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk
If it was my car, I would buy another used alternator, have the coal brushes and the regulator replaced, and replace the thing for peace of mind. As you know now, when the alternator quits and battery runs out, the car stays where it is, is that kind of thing. Also a bad regulator can fry your battery, which recently turned to be much more expensive than they used to. In the mean time, havingby Jose Pinto - Technical Forum
QuoteArcheo-peteriX It's temporary at best but the money is very good. I think I prefer woodworking; in spite of the working conditions Good luck for that project, and the ones to follow! I read though this thread again... Peter, how does a $100000 kitchen looks like? Is the wood and furnitures market at a downturn where you live? Over here, past the financial credit bubble, people can't buy new homes so easily as before, so they have ot either rent or remodel current home. Turns out remodeling kitchens is as good a business as it ever been or better. If someone orders aby Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteBob in Everett Oops, my conversion factor was wrong. I only have 343,000 km. I was using the pounds to kilo conversion... must be getting a few memory cells mixed up. Still a respectable figure, if the engine is in good shape you should have no problem. But for a first time, perhaps you shouldn't push to hard, have fun! Perhaps you heard, the Pritzker 2011 was awarded to Eduardo Souto Moura. I have some projects going with him, one of which is featured here: The Tourism School of Portalegre. In general, his team designs the building with very clean and nice walls, and I plant the Natural Gas metering boxes facing outside... QuoteArcheo-peteriX Thanks Cab. Basically, you take out the kitchen sink; throw it away then uninstall all the cabinets; load them in a truck and ship them back to the shop. The main loading area is now filled with cabinets that are not much good to anyone If the kitchen was ordered and built specifically to the customer, he should have to pay something or complain when the kitchen was beiby Jose Pinto - Community Forum
QuoteBob in Everett The body style will take some getting used to. I still like the understated Z8 about the best. The 328 could have cleaner lines, and less "busy" interior, but I think that was intentional. The z8 is inspired in the famous 507 model, a much newer and elegant design than the 328.by Jose Pinto - Car Talk

The Ford looks great. There was an old computer game, "Street Rod" for PC and MS-DOS, there were cars like that. During the war, BMW car production was halted, and BMW produced Airplane parts and motorbikes. Before, BMW were manufactured, the 328 is a good example: After war they resumed with 501 models, the "baroque angel", manufactured as well. BMW was hit hardby Jose Pinto - Community Forum
