I was in similar shoes as you once, having a camera that did 32-320, as well as video. However, a few years ago I plunked down some cash for a Canon 20D and a 70-200L 4.0f, and have NEVER looked back. Okay, scratch that, I do sometimes miss being able to take short video clips as the moment requires. But you have to start thinking about cameras like you do cars. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, for I am too young to have cared at the time. It seems I remember a comment on the old BEN that when our car was produced (87-91) that there was no mass produced octane higher than 87 or 89 for vehicles. Thus BMW designed the engine for that grade, and nothing more. Now, I don't know if that only applies to a specific country, or if the age of anby Earendil - Technical Forum
Quoterkj You don't think two out of three are enough I'm thinking... I'm thinking if one of 3 can fall apart like that, the other two might not be far off, OR If even another tiny unimportant chunk of metal comes off, I don't want to know what that will do to the proper functioning of the cap and rotor combo. I feel as if it wasn't designed to operate with chunks oby Earendil - Technical Forum
Or more correctly put, it FELL APART. I'm threading a new rotor on by hand, and the adapter, where the middle screw goes in, splits in half and a chunk falls to the ground. I didn't know what it was at first until I took the rotor back off and looked at the adapter in horror. Here is what I'm talking about, # 7 I hadn't even tightened anything. Quotewodcutr I could be wrong but I believe that the OBC has its own coding plug. I think it uses the coding plug in the dash as well and that calculates speed and economy depending on inputs from the other sensors. The sensor in the diff can only sense each revolution, just like the crank sensor, thus with different gearing such as a 3.73 or a 4.10 the revolutions would be different so the comby Earendil - Technical Forum

Quotewodcutr I read a post on the old BEN that measured the amount of air the stock filter allowed through and also a K&N. I can't remember the why or how but he concluded that the stock filter was the best one to do the job. It does not starve the motor for air (unless it hasn't been changed in 40,000 miles) and the K&N actually does not filter as well so you are allowing morby Earendil - Technical Forum
I love asking this crowd questions like this, because I know I'll get answers more in line with my own thinking, or at least a wide range of opinions.
