QuoteFerdinand So I'm puzzled how it is that California could one day allow gay marriage, then change their mind and disallow it? Either they have a Constitutional right or they don't. How does that work? I don't pretend to understand that, either. In my ever-so-humble opinion, that is an issue that should never be voted on at all. You are absolutely correct in the r3v threadby Cab Treadway - Community Forum
QuoteFerdinand QuoteCab TreadwayI actually do see a little double-standardness in the juxtaposition of the views you have expressed over the years and your support of Obama. Somebody mentioned that on the r3vLimited thread too, but nobody explained it there. What's the deal with Obama not showing respect for the Constitution? I haven't seen any of that, but I haven't gone lookingby Cab Treadway - Community Forum
QuoteArcheo-peteriX QuoteCab Treadway... Although, I actually do see a little double-standardness in the juxtaposition of the views you have expressed over the years and your support of Obama. He might be a great leader (we have yet to see, but I have my hopes), but he never has seemed to show much in the way of undying support for the Constitution.... Ok, I just read from the point where you jumped in until the end. Ferd, I love you, man. If both of us weren't already married, I'd... well, nevermind, I don't want to say it. Seriously though, why do you put so much effort making valid and cogent arguments supported by facts and citations when you know the only response you're going to get is something in the flavorby Cab Treadway - Community Forum

I couldn't read most of that crap. However, one great takeaway that I agree with: henceforth "that stupid Canadian" should be called "Turdinhand." It has a great ring to it, don't you think?by Cab Treadway - Community Forum
Quoterkj QuoteArcheo-peteriX QuoteBob in Everett I agree that the winters seem to be worse the past couple of years. Seems like the age of global warming is over. The sunspot cycle must be in the "low energy" mode or what ever it is that they do. The warmest year on record in recent years was 1998. QuoteArcheo-peteriX The iX won't have any difficulties but the roads will likely be plugged with cars equipped with no season tires, FWD and absolutely clueless 'new' drivers :X Snow here this morning. Because of all the power outage stuff, I haven't had a chance to put the snow tires on yet. The commute in my FWD Mazda with no-season tires was absolutely horrible. Power was restored sometime around noon today. We are home, warm, dry, no busted pipes or cracked toilets. We've never been so happy to walk in to a 40 degree house that is totally messy and disorganized as a result of a few trips to grab supplies for 4 days away. Ugh. Not fun being displaced. Still, we're thankful it was only 4 days. There are many out there who will still be inby Cab Treadway - Community Forum
Quotedaniel how did you get those wheels to fit on that car? did they make them for e34s also? come to think of it, i have seen an e32 with them... They were replica wheels. They were on it when we bought the car from a friend of mine. Not a great car ownership experience. Nice engine, though. If it had been the 6-speed, I would have tried harder to make it work. QuoteDave_G QuoteCab Treadway I miss the green. I like green. I'm wearing a green shirt today. OK, Cab, this is for you: Hmm. Not bad. Maybe a little different shade of green than I prefer. Quoterkj Cab, Shutting off the water is one thing but you should have drained the system. If pipes start busting its ugly bro, and expensive. You also have to think about the heating system; it has water in it too. There should be a low point in the fresh water system to drain it from. QuoteDave_G Quotealanrw Are we going to have a sticky with critical links like the OEM parts catalog or the link to the dashboard swap or the online factory repair manual? I think there are a number of "How To" articles that should be linked. Definitely. But should they be stickies in the forum section, or links from the main page? Or both? I vote for no stickeys in the forums. Weby Cab Treadway - Suggestions and questions
QuoteArcheo-peteriX Hopefully the plumbing doesn't freeze up in your house...that is always my biggest worry when power goes out and the sub zero temps persist. QuoteArcheo-peteriX It snowed lightly late last night then warmed enough to melt the inch or so that was on the ground. then the temp plunged to around -8ÂșC and it froze into ice. At least you are still at home! It's been 3.5 days and we're still without power at my place. Fun stuff. Today took me 1.5 hrs as well (normally 40-45 min) because we're in the midst of a fun little ice storm that's bringing branches and trees down all over the place. Our power has been out at home since last night, so no heat, light, or water. The house temp is down to about 55F, and we're worrying about the food in the fridge. Quoterkj Its funny (as in horrible), I always thought there were a larger percentage of people here, on this side of the pond, that knew and wanted cars that made sense, go figure You're serious with that? Quotedaniel usually when i buy groceries for a woman to cook, the woman is my girlfriend. I found that often, when I bought groceries for my gf and gave them to her to cook, she wouldn't necessarily stay my gf all that long.
