Hmmm, usually, there is a specification in Itunes (like most programs) where you can tell it where the data is. My computer is set up just like yours, data on a second drive. Maybe you need to uninstall and reinstall Itunes? But without seeing it in person....... alanby alanrw - Community Forum

Those cylinders used to be a small fortune at the dealership. I need to see if BAV or the others have em. Man, are those things a PIA to install!!! I don't think the wire wrap trick works with them. alanby alanrw - Community Forum
Yeah, the guy says our impact wrenches are precision calibrated to 90 psi. I asked how could 5 lug bolts seize on the studs if they weren't overtighted and the studs galled. He looks at me and says (without blinking) "It looks like the metal crystalized. I replied, "I guess I must have slept thru the nuclear blast that crystalized the LR lug studs but isn't it amazing how precby alanrw - Car Talk
While you are in there, check the brake pads themselves. alanby alanrw - Technical Forum
I solved my brake squeal problem by buying a can of brake squeal eliminator. I think Permatex makes it. Remove the pads noting which is inboard and which is outboard. Place the pads biz side down on a piece of newspaper and spray the back sides with a thin coat of the blue stuff in the spray can. Wait 10 minutes, reassemble, no more squeaks. The blue stuff acts like a rubber damper to prevent sqby alanrw - Technical Forum
Hmm, it looks like a Ca plate and he's in the HOV lane by my house. It could very well be the shop I get my tires from. They were recently sold. Last week I went in for new tires on my wife's dd. I noticed that the LR wheel cylinder was leaking so after getting the new tires on, I went and bought a new wheel cylinder. When I went to remvoe the rear tire, the lugs were so tight I snappedby alanrw - Car Talk
Before delving into the differential, I would check my transmission mounts and the guibo. Check the driveshaft joints as well. alanby alanrw - Technical Forum
I was watching the cable news channels last night. The problem is that the minute we go in and someone gets killed on the ground, the Al Queda propaganda machine (one of the best ones out there) goes into high gear showing the Muslim world once again how the U.S. targets and kills innocent Muslims. alanby alanrw - Community Forum
Who is "we"? The politicians who are bought off by the oil companies? The citizens? Long ago I thought a great idea would be for everyone to boycott one oil company like say Exxon. You could still buy gas but just not at an Exxon station. The problem with this idea is you end up killing the poor store owner at the Exxon station. That guy is one of us, just trying to eek out a living.by alanrw - Community Forum
OPEC has publicly stated there is plenty of oil supply. It is the futures speculators on Wall St. that are driving up the cost per barrel. That being said, even if we hit the motherload of oil on our own soil does anyone think for a moment oil companies are going to back away from making as much profit as they can (as tated earlier, there is no shortage, then why are the oil companies raising theby alanrw - Community Forum

I just don't get the round, squat ideal in car design today. They remind me of dung beetles. Heck, even the VW bug was more streamlined. These new squat SUVs just don't do it for me. alanby alanrw - Community Forum

O.K., I watched the video. I understand the point she is trying to make. If we let the Republicans do away with collective bargaining/unions, all elections will now be won only by Republicans? The Democrats will cease to exist? I thought that is what an election is about, freedom at the polling place. My professional world is a union free environment. Well, from what I read, Wi. is in the hole $25 billion. Here in Calif., promises of generous pensions are in deep trouble. The monies set aside for state employee pensions (up to 90% in many cases) have deflated with the economic melt down. The issue is if concessions are not made, people counting on their state employee pensions are gonna get a letter that says "you will never guess what haby alanrw - Community Forum
Well, the 8 hour day, the 40 hour workweek, workplace safety, all the things the labor unions accomplished have been legislated into law for those of us who don't have union jobs. If employers (in this case the great state of Wi.) needs to take back some of the benefits (full medical and pension) because the costs of those 2 benefits have skyrocketed, should the workers be allowed to strike?by alanrw - Community Forum
Wi.=Wisconsin. I guess the governor and Republican legislators are trying to make collective bargaining illegal for state employees. The the argument is that the state is broke ($25 billion in the hole) and can't afford 100% medical for state employees any longer. They want employees to participate in medical insurance and pension costs without the threat of a prolonged strike. Unfortunatelyby alanrw - Community Forum
Not at all. Nor have I forgotten the Democratic Conventionn riots in 1968 or the many riots that occured in the south during the same period. I would like to think that what came out of those horrible events was a better non-lethal strategy of dealing with those situations without the loss of human life. Tear gas, water cannons, bean bag rounds etc. etc. etc. The difference here is that I bby alanrw - Community Forum
Well, a couple of points here Rick. First, here in the states we are definitely seeing similar action in Wi. But the difference here is that as a nation, we are allowed to demonstrate without fear of government forces shooting into the crowds. We have a fairly long history of civil demonstration . Plus, our elections, for the most part aren't rigged, it just that the choices leave somethingby alanrw - Community Forum

I read an interesting analysis a while back that said Iran is really run by the Red Guard (military). The mullahs and Achmadinijad are merely window dressing. But Iran has oil it can convert to dollars. Egypt really doesn't have much to convert to dollars so they have been dependent on us for aid (which regrettably probably went to Mubarak's private offshore acct.) Wait, the final chapter has yet to emerge. Many times, middle eastern countries can implode in the absence of a strong leader. Lots of warring factions at play here. Shites, Sunnis, Coptic Christians, it could get ugly. Remember, even though Mubarak was a dictator, he never caused any trouble for the U.S., in fact, was a stabilizing force in the Mideast. Let's not forget the Muslim Brotherhoby alanrw - Community Forum
