the M42 is a great engine. the 318ti is a cool car but is an E36 really an "upgrade" over a '91 or '92 E30?by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
I don't trust firestone, schwab, et al with my E30.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum

I need to clean the cosmoline off that airbox I need to replace that sticker I need to yank my intake and valve cover and wrinkle paintby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
here's today's porn new hoses installed. i hate the hose clamps but they'll do for now. a nice stainless t-bolt style would be sweet. tie rods as prepped as they can be i could probably re-use these... ...but not with one like this. im still irked the tie rod assys, especially from lemforder, don't include this part here's the topside all buttonedby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
I'm an animal. 2 Lemforder LCAs 2 bavauto urethane LCA bushings 2 oe swaybar links oh, and those damn "lock plates" and a new reservoir cap seal now I only pay for one alignment B)by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
so, if i go ahead and order a set of lemforder LCAs to get it all done... like such the only other item i should replace before an alignment is the bushing i think ill put poly in as well as on the swaybar are the endlinks a big deal? mine dont look bad.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
or just get my LCAs ordered and wait for it all. getting an alignment *once* would be niceby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
goddamnit nobody should sell tie rod assemblies without this part at least now they're prepped and ready, the hoses are on and the system has its first fill. tomorrow a bombing run to the dealer.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
yay new hoses in. time to install the tie rods.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum

I've ridden in and worked on his car. It hauls ass.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
I went for the Mobil 1. I agree with you that their products work great on bikes. So, what the heck? $2/more per bottle. The tie rod assemblies are out of the car. God I need to do LCAs too. 139K miles, what do I expect? ...and yes, I like working in a clean environment on clean cars. Nothing goes back dirty.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
yes my car is a street carby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
oh goodness! i'm going to try this with my 190E...by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
however, I have zero engine leakage the seals on the current rack do not leak yet it seems like the hoses get permeated by ATF apparently this is quite common on E30s and other BMWs of the era?by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
well ATF isn't doing much better of a job at *not* damaging the seals I wonder about this stuffby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
here's some more M42 porn filthy mess even after a degrease draining the topside. the fluid is gross. removed the split boot and cleaned up around the rack. i am certain the rack is not leaking. whew. for the love of god if you ever do this, make sure you disconnect the battery first. one simple precaution I forgot and *zap* against the starter. i hope i didn't fry myby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
I'll do that. I should ask some of the spec e30 guys in my area what they think. wonder what daniel's got? prolly poly.by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
Mine has that sticker. I've been using this stuff: Valvoline Dexron III Mercon ATF Is this not correct?by ducatipaso - Technical Forum
placed an order today for the stuff for the steering 2 lemfoerder tie rod assemblies 2 tie rod boots and 5 clamps 2 power steering hoses i figure ill do: drain system remove 2 leaky lines and clean the area remove/inspect/clean the reservoir install 2 lines and button it all up fill with... any opinions? i don't want to refill the system with something else thats going to be hard onby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
I would like to see a "forum independent" E30 contingent in Portland What would be cooler would be if we could get the whole eurosunday thing going on in the Portland areaby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
cant find much on motor mounting in that pageby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
seek something like thisby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
So, I've been looking around at engine mounting options. My car has 139K on it, I'm doing a huge service, I want to do this too. I believe in doing upgrades during services where they make sense. My car is an M42, so things are a bit different. I don't mind *some* additional vibration in the cabin if the benefits are worth it. I have read about using regular hard rubbeby ducatipaso - Technical Forum
