Hi Peter, any news from your friend in Tacloban?by Ernest - Community Forum
Tacloban is one of the hardest hit cities and most communications is down both landlines and mobile. There is no electricity either. Electricity and communications lines here are placed on posts (not underground like in some countries) and most of these poles have gone down. It'll take a substantial amount of time before these are replaced. I hope he is fine and made it out alive. Ifby Ernest - Community Forum
Hi guys! Thank you all for your concern. Sorry I haven't been checking my social networks recently. I'm happy to report that me and my family are all doing well. We live in Manila so we were fortunate that the typhoon hit several hundred kilometers south of us. We barely got a shower over here. Unfortunately, the Filipinos down south did not do as well. Hi Bob, we are in the Philippines, mostly in Manila but we do have readers/members from other parts of the country. We've been at it for over 10 years now.by Ernest - Community Forum
Hello everyone! I hope winter (if you have it) is treating you well. Our little e30 club decided it was time to get our site updated and back with the times, so I'm now in the hunt for some good articles to include in the site. I wonder, is the administrator of e30world connected with BEN? He links back here and I was hoping to get in touch with him to ask permission to use his tableby Ernest - Community Forum
Haha yeah! Thanks a lot guys! I hope you all have a good year too!by Ernest - Community Forum
Happy new year everyone from the new Mr. and Mrs. Ramos!by Ernest - Community Forum
QuoteArcheo-peteriX Sadly; thatt's the way it is with special purchases like this. On the watch forums I haunt; it's the same...birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or any special occasion watch; has to be only lusted after until the Big Day When your Big Day happens; I doubt you will be thinking much about the watch...the new Mrs Ramos will be all that your eye sees Oh deby Ernest - Community Forum
Thanks Peter! Your help has been real invaluable and I'm really happy with my purchase. I wish I could wear it now but I have to wait for the big day.by Ernest - Community Forum
I did it... Visited the shop again, thought hard on which watch sang to me the most and made my choice: Thank you all again for your input! Your feedback has been really helpful! Cheers!by Ernest - Community Forum
Hello again! I found a Rose Gold Viewmatic: Photos don't do it justice. And finally, the trio: I'm still undecided so I didn't get it on the spot. Besides, I was just going to walk home from the mall in the rain and through dark roads. I didn't want to risk getting mugged with this.by Ernest - Community Forum
Thanks! I've been doing some searching at local watch dealers. I found only 1 Jazzmaster so far: I'm still on the hunt for a Rosegold version. So far, this stainless steel version is about $150 cheaper than the Tissot.by Ernest - Community Forum
Hi Peter, Some other choices: Tissot Visodate: Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic: Both are about 11mm thick. Is that a good thickness? Cheers!by Ernest - Community Forum
Any of you in Google+? Add me to your circle so we can keep in touch.by Ernest - Community Forum
Exactly! Though having amateurs doing it also meant we had some boo-boos along the way. I'm pretty sure we'll have a blast. We're also flying off to Boracay the day after with some really close friends and family to celebrate the new year there. I'm really excited with everything!by Ernest - Community Forum
Haha yeah I'm actually looking forward to getting this whole wedding thing done with. There's just a whole lot of things to do since we didn't hire a planner and have to do everything ourselves. We're pretty much done with the preparations though. Just maybe a few minor things and final bill payments. Thanks for the link! I'll look at them.by Ernest - Community Forum
Continuing with my search, I came upon this (yes it's another Tissot): I'm starting to look into automatics. The problem with this one is the case thickness (15.8mm), but I'm totally digging the white chronograph dial and the brown leather strap. I'm worried such a thick case would make it hard to wear under a long-sleeve shirt. Any other similar alternatives in theby Ernest - Community Forum
Hey thanks Rick! I'm excited to get into this new chapter in my life. Cheers bud!by Ernest - Community Forum
Thanks Peter! I'll keep looking then. I still have until December to decide anyway. Cheers!by Ernest - Community Forum
Hi Pete, does this include the newer generation T-Touches? I've read about some syncing problems from the older T-touches. The new T-Touch Experts were supposed to improve on that. Did it work?by Ernest - Community Forum
Aha thanks for the tip!by Ernest - Community Forum
Thanks Jose! How is it going? It's really nice to still see some familiar names in BEN.by Ernest - Community Forum
Hi Pete, How about this one: I'm being given a pretty tempting deal from the dealer. 20% off 12 months to pay 0% interest. Are Tissot watches any good?by Ernest - Community Forum
Hey thanks Cab! We're holding the wedding on 30 Dec this year. I'm really excited.by Ernest - Community Forum
Thanks Peter! Those fall within my budget. I was actually prepared to spend between 500-1000 USD since I do not know how much any of them should cost. They look really nice! I'll try to find one locally. The Casio should be easy to find, I'm not sure where I can find Citizen watches here. Thanks for your help!by Ernest - Community Forum
Hello Peter! I know you're the resident "watch" man. I'm getting married on December, and apparently, I need to have a watch. It's a tradition thing where the girl has jewelry, and the guy has a watch. Kinda funny (or stupid) but oh well... So now me (who knows nothing about watches) is now looking for a good watch. I'm hoping you can recommend some for me.by Ernest - Community Forum
The steering lock is awesome. I wonder if the car handles the same too. Looks like it understeers a fair amount.by Ernest - Community Forum
If you really want to dual-boot with Windows and Ubuntu, you'll have to install Windows first so that you don't break the bootloader. Goodluck Cab and let us know how it goes. If you need anything, send me a Buzz.by Ernest - Community Forum
