QuoteEmre (OO=[][]=OO) Someone mentioned the 318ti. Personally, I'm not a fan. I just can't get over the awkward styling; the proportions don't look right at all. I would go for the E36 318is coupe or 1.9L Z3 instead. I think the Ti was suggested as it shares the same rear end suspension as the E30. Ove likened the Ti to being the closest to E30 handling. Hi Emre, Good to see you back Not much has changed here other than we got smaller. I guess as folks moved on from their E30s they didn't find much of interest here. Some of us, like yourself, no longer have their E30s but we still hang around here becuase you can take the driver out of the E30 but you can't take the E30 out of the driver We occasionally still manage to track dby Archeo-peteriX - Registry
You make me want to cry But I already had my mid life crisis so it's someone else's turn The 'i' should not feel twitchy; it should be rock solid like the eta. The only noticeable difference with the 'i' should be that there is no real torque and grunt developed until 3500 rpm at which time you will feel like you are in a slingshot, just released. QuoteJose Pinto Thanks Bob, will look into it. Democracy is failing, the poor will allways be poor, the rich float above all this, and the rest is becoming poor and having no chance to revert things for the better. Perhaps democracy is only successfull when wealth is evenly distributed among all, and people can have similar oportunities, AND the majority wishes to stand together for a commoby Archeo-peteriX - Car Talk
In the wells there are small 'D' shaped openings. Usually these get plugged when the cars get undercoated. With a good light you can spot them from the inside then just clear them so that any water that does leak in, has a place to leak out I know this because it was one of the first 'repairs' I had to do on the iX.by Archeo-peteriX - Technical Forum
QuoteBob in Everett Yes Peter, it takes citizens with some understanding of freedom to refuse the handouts from the slave masters. Something we have precious little of left in what was the most free country in the world. It is free no more. We are a long way down the road to serfdom. I would almost prefer serfdom...the King only took 1/3 of what they people produced/earned. We are lucky to enby Archeo-peteriX - Car Talk
QuoteBob in Everett Jose, You are correct in your financial analysis. If more of us were to just follow the money, it would be so obvious that they would not be able to get away with it. Now, only a few understand and most of them are co-opted to the inside due to no morals of their own. "When treason doth prosper, none dare call it treason." When reading up on various car manufacturers through the years; it always seems to come down to human failure when manufacturers fail. Some of the finest cars ever made have disappeared because of bad business decisions and management wars. Then you have mediocre models made by huge conglomerates backed by the banksby Archeo-peteriX - Car Talk
QuoteBob in Everett I think that one is a Packard. Yes it is! Mine was a silver grey colour and it also still had the big white wall balloon tires. Those cars were awesome to drive. True land yachts. If I remember correctly; it weighed in around 3800lbs and had a 400ci straight eight to haul it around. You would be hard put to find any engine today that ran as smoothly as those old 8s! Quotealanrw What is interesting here is when you turn on the heater, the temp drops. When you bled it a second time, was there more air in the system? Possible head gasket issue? But you said it does hold pressure over time, right? You can get the coolant tested for combustion product presence. alan This leads us back to the clogged radiator theory. Jose is right about the environment but that old 49 Packard Clipper was like a small living room with two luxurious sofas in it. The sound insulation and just the way the radio belted out the sound was so good. Back then(when I had the car; not 1949); FM radio had not been commercially launched so the radio stations could pump out as much power as the wanted and it made a big difference to whatby Archeo-peteriX - Car Talk

QuoteMichiel 318iS OK... Two minutes on Facebook (of which one minute replying to other shit) made me come up with this: Joost Buntinx (the 318iS owner) and his friend Johan Wauters, aka trobbelke. He was an avid E30 enthusiast and last we heard from him; he was working as a volunteer on a hospitals ship that was trying to be ready for victims of hurricane Katrina. Most important was his love of Belgian beers! I have always remembered his descriptions and recommendations but never really got a chance to sample any of them...until recently. I was listening to an old floor model radio from the 1940s the other day and remembered the big old tube radio that was in my 1949 Packard. Today's radios simply cannot compare in sound quality to those old tube jobs. Volume does not mean quality of sound and if you digitize it; it still doesn't have the warmth and quality of those old radios. Any one of you guys ever experiencby Archeo-peteriX - Car Talk

QuoteBob in Everett Wishing you a merry Christmas Peter. Hope your lunch went well. We had a pot luck type lunch today at work. I used up a few credits at the home front to wangle a crock pot full of homemade chili. When I woke up this morning it sure smelled good. Quoterkj Are these older air bags something one wants to be in front of, seems like a libabilty to me. New, old; it doesn't matter. If you are not sitting directly in front of it, as in driving or being a passenger, the force of an air-bag on the side of the head is enough to break your neck. This is why children and small persons should not be in the front seat, even if they are sitting pby Archeo-peteriX - Technical Forum

Ferd, I recently saw a commercial for Radio Shack(The Source) whic featured among other things, the Quadra Copter. I had to go and check it out. Before tearing anything apart; check to see if the AFM flap is free and moves unobstructed. Also check to see that the intake tube to the air cleaner is not blocked with deer meat or something else. Once on the throttle; the ICV is no longer active so if it idles correctly then that item is probably working fine. Check for obstructions to air flow as mentioned.by Archeo-peteriX - Technical Forum
