hi first, please excuse me because i did not read all the above - i am after vacation and pretty tired, drove 7410km second - i saw something about using a backup disc instead of a mirror system - with linux you can easily configure mirroring. third, in 2 weeks i made 145gb of photos and movies, so 500gb might not be enough for 3 yearsby jaffar - Community Forum
spotted these beauties in Austria a few days agoby jaffar - Community Forum
Well... goinng back to the start of this thread, my clutch did not slip in high gear In fact, it did not slip pretty much in any conditions, short for a clutch-drop start on dry and clean tarmac. My E36 Bentley doesn't tell me how to measure a disc without removing it. I find the entire design on the system pretty stupid - I don't see why they won't include some sort of checkiby jaffar - Technical Forum
the end of this story goes like this - i decided to replace the clutch set anyway, because i'm planning a long mountain drive vacation the old clutch disc was 8 mm thick: the new one is 10mm: in my previous car, the disc was completely worn out but still not slipping at all, so i REALLY have no clue why the above problems happened. check out this completely shot disc what wasby jaffar - Technical Forum

Prices in Europe were pretty different than the ones in the US. My insurance broken made me an offer yesterday and told me my E36 320i was 15.ooo EUR when new. I'm pretty sure it was a lot more than that. I've been spending some time on google, but I think I've become unable to find the right keywords I know there's an insurance catalogue that has ALL cars with the valby jaffar - Community Forum
well i don't know if my topic name is too good but anyway - how can i find out some prices for our old cars, when they were new ? thanksby jaffar - Community Forum
a guy found these three incredible treasures in a forgotten barn: one ford rs200, and TWO e30 m3 !!!!!! one has 37 miles, the other 57 miles.by jaffar - Community Forum
i keep my car on the street - quite a big garage besides, my cat will be scared shitless if he saw a rat... he's afraid of BUGSby jaffar - Technical Forum
Quotenomis3613 Quotejaffarfor the steering wheel, you can see the part that pushes in this photo Ahhh...I'd assumed that tab was for the steering lock. You learn something new every day! Sorry for the off-topic...carry on... the teeth around the outer margin are for locking the wheel. on newer models, the wheel also has an edge, so you can't remove it unless you put the key in.by jaffar - Technical Forum
Hi I left my car hibernate for the winter, for 2 months. Today I decided to move it around a bit, so I popped the hood to check the fluid levels. To my surprise, a big BONE was lying on my engine. I looked around and I found that the hood insulation has been eaten away and it became a nest for some animal that also likes to shit in its nest. It seems that it has moved to another home, as noby jaffar - Technical Forum
i've highlighted the bit on the stalk in the attached photo. for the steering wheel, you can see the part that pushes in this photo: from the code it looks like you can also buy it separately:by jaffar - Technical Forum
yes, you need the whole stalk - the bit that brings it back intro position is small, plastic and breaks often. do you have the original steering wheel ? because it contains the "thingie" that pushes the signal stalk bit. some aftermarket wheels don't have it.by jaffar - Technical Forum
i'm not saying i don't understand them - i do but that scene is an accident waiting to happen, regardless of any reason they would try to make up (like they can see the cars, they know after how many minutes etc.). and usually when the spectators get hit, they blame the driver, not their own stupidity. in the movies i posted above, everyone is swaring badly at the drivers. if they hadnby jaffar - Community Forum
yeah, i bet these guys also thought they are pretty far & safe from the cars: one should NEVER sit on the outside of the corner. the organisers should take care of that, and they should also be punished when this happens. comeon, spectators pulling cars from the ditch ? and then they compain that they get hurt.by jaffar - Community Forum
so i see the most stupid people also exist outside of my country. i don't understand why in the world someone would stay on the OUTSIDE of a corner. or why they would all run ON THE ROAD during a rally ?by jaffar - Community Forum
it's real as in "it exists", not real as in "it WORKS". come'on, there's no way that engine can suck enough air from the cabin, even with the windows open. not to mention the amount of gas it needs, where can he store it !? and i REALLY think that, assuming that everything works, if he tries to use that blower he will die instantly, considering the 0 upgradesby jaffar - Community Forum
yeah, he put some metal net in front of the engine, because it "sucks the rose from the dashboard". how full of crap can that be ?by jaffar - Community Forum
forgot to ask and apparently i cannot edit, so here it is - what kind of mount does your aiptek friend use ? thanksby jaffar - Community Forum
QuoteDave_G FWIW, my friend Will has a cheap Aiptek Action-HD camera that he uses at our track events. It's roughly 2/3 the cost of the GoPro (or less -- Amazon has them for US$170), but it takes beautiful onboard videos. It also has a jack for an external mic, which makes all the difference between great sound and lousy sound. I don't have one yet, but when I get one, this is what Iby jaffar - Community Forum
do you guys think this is just an elaborate fake ? for once, i REALLY don't think this jet engine can suck enough air from the cabin. where is Ove when we need some technical explanations ? :nerd: ----- This is my street-legal jet car on full afterburner. The car has two engines: the production gasoline engine in the front driving the front wheels and the jet engine in the back. The iby jaffar - Community Forum
The old GoPro was total crap, from the videos that float around youtube. The HD version seems to be a bit improved, even though it still suffers from some defects. There are not enough samples online, so I will wait a little before decidingby jaffar - Community Forum
damn, that's an expensive kit ! costs more than a E30 today (at least in my part of the world) i also tried lots of crappy recording systems, but now i'm really tempted to get the GoPro HD Motorsports Hero. it's only $300 and you can mount it anywhere (even under the car or on the bumper), or you can take it with you when you go skiing/bungee jumping etc. i'm still waitby jaffar - Community Forum
hey Ferd, what kind of camera and mount are you using ? looks like major fun ! thanksby jaffar - Community Forum
that's gotta be one of the most amazing things however, i never agree with people that cut off their roof and weld back another one. that will never again be a CAR.by jaffar - Community Forum
