Barn Find

There is a good reason they were never sold...most Neons were mechanics nightmares before they ever left the show room floor.

Look around and see how many you can still see on the road or on used car lots. Even the wholesalers won't touch these things.
The replacement vehicle was no better sad smiley

Chrysler just doesn't seem to learn or care.

Thought I'd take one. I'd love to drive a car I don't care about, never wash it, don't care about door dents or putting groceries on the paintwork.

Excuses... Not a car... A thing!

Not only that, but the Neon is the mechanical platform for the PT Cruiser. Same crappy parts, same crappy design. Ask me how I know........................

I figure most of the time with a barn find someone is legitimately interested in whats inside. This one would be more of a pain in the ass what are we going to do with all this junk.

Most people comented on the Neon find, instead of the mint e30 M3!

They will do some pre-emptive maintenace prior to turn the engine on. Anyone knows what needs to be replaced in such situation (aside aged fluids)?

In this particular case: the whole car!

Gaskets, rubber bits. I would think a car sitting for that long in "open" air is going to see a lot of vacuum leaks when it's first started up if nothing is done.
