wonder if an X3 might fit the bill?

If the rear hatch was wide enough to slide a sheet of plywood in; I'd be almost good to go

Never drove any of them, but i would say they are completely different, judging from how they look.
The X3 body is not a 3series, is a small X5.
Anyway, I wouldn't use either to carry wood inside, perhaps haul a trailer at most...
