Where is an E46 when you need it?

I live on a 15 mile mountain road to nowhere. So when I'm going to work, I generally recognize all the cars along the way. I've once seen a 2002 on that road, the only other E30 was wrecked, the only E36 is a co-worker, and there are no E46 or E90.

So much to my surprise and glee was this morning's event. Three bimmers in a row, an E90, an E36, and my E30 bringing up the rear.
Sadly, the roads were wet and there was slush falling from the sky, so it was a rather steady paced ad-hoc BMW commercial

The one positive thing about missing the E46, is that I can say all three cars are from 3 different decades B)

Isn't it amazing, when seen next to each other, that the E90 is "related" to the E30?
