Lalala I'm not listening.

Actually, to be nit-picky, it DOES represent a propeller, because that's what everyone thinks it is. However its original conception was not, I have now learned, inspired by a propeller.

BMW built motors for Planes during WWII. The symbols does represent a propeller and the blue and white represents the sky and clouds.

Since 1929, BMW has been using the propeller story; so no matter what it might have represented before that; it doesn't matter.

What it is today is what BMW wants it to be...therefore; no myth winking smiley
