You should get the Touring before Christmas, so you can use it to drive the tree home.

I have plenty of trees, I live in the country now.
The "bad news" is the long commute...

The e30 is no beast of burden, I would use the Benz, it has OEM towbar and is much more "expendable".

The carpet rear of the Touring would be handy to carry the presents, though. Not that I need a lot of space for that anyway...

I once managed to get 5 complete wheels with tires and 4 wheels without tires into the trunk of my E30 318iS. And that wasn't even a Touring!
How many modern cars can do that?
