Leather Steering Wheel Cover

Hey guys, the leather on my 84 steering wheel is starting to split. I have found that there were 2 type of wheels used in the e30-fine spline and coarse spline. Does anyone know how to differentiate? Like how many splines on each type?

Also, has anyone bought the recover kit from Alan Gunn in Florida? If so, how did you like it?

If you get the spline specification sorted, I have a very nice low mileage steering wheel from an 87 with the M colored stripe on the center spoke at the bottom. It is from an Evo car, at least that is what I think it was called. Would sell if you are interested.
