Fuel Line Dim

Hey, does anyone know what the diameter spec is for rubber fuel line for an E 30? It's metric isn't it? Or is it 5/16"?

I think I bought some 5/16 that worked. It would translate to about 8mm.

That's what I use, just make sure it's fuel injection hose, it's a little stiffer. I have a spray bottle with soap and water to help ease it on.

The flexibility of the hose will make no difference if it's metric or not, just make sure you use proper clamps.
An e30 should be now going through the 3rd or 4th set of rubber tubes and o-rings.
While in there, you may want to check. There are some rubber o-rings at the fuel pressure regulator and injectors, make sure there are no traces of gas coming from there.
It's an expensive and dangerous fault to have, and very cheap to fix correctly.

Those fractions make my head hurt...
The 8mm hose, considering the tolerance, should be good from 7.6mm up to 8.4mm, or more considering it stretches a bit.
On a rubber hose, the third decimal place means nothing in reality.

What I meant was fuel injection hose is built to withstand the line pressures of the fuel injection, where as regular fuel hose is for lower pressure systems like carburetor or lawn mowers...

Fuel pressure is no big deal, 35psi or 2.4 bar, about the same you put in your tires for the highway.
