Fix for a slow operating sunroof?

My sunroof is a hand crank(like a party in my car everytime I open her up!). But my dad's new 1991 ix has a motor. The seller claimed it was broken, but had a working used motor to install. No problem I thought. However, today I tried to operate it for the fun of it, and low and behold it worked! However it works rather slow, and sometimes needs help. I'm wondering, is this really the motor? I've never know electric motors to suffer from a lack of power. Is it resistance in the track or the wiring? I'm lost smiling smiley

Probably more related to dirt on the tracks. Cleaning and lube of the whole mechanism will probably do wonders.

I had the same problem, check you ground wire on the hood, make up the ground connected to the hood.
