Ove worked mostly with painting robots, that video is the car assembly plant (painting was complete).
The little carts moving arround by themselves are robots as well! Alse the tools and machinery was powered from the floor by induction, avoiding all the usual clutter of cables in working places. Check out the Scirocco assembly in Portugal, not so much glass but still cool. |

I noticed the moving floor panels too! Pretty slick.
I was in a big law office downtown a couple of years ago they had a 'mail robot' that simply when from the mail room around the office continuously. It was pretty cool; it would stop if you got close or if you said 'Mail'. You picked up your incoming mail(the robot knew to stop at your office) and put outgoing mail in a special hopper. It would read the office it was to go to and stop there when it was on it's rounds. |
