Asking price is 1350€, a bit high for a non-running car. |

Finally went to see the thing.
IT is located at a small garage, packed with other BMWe30 models, some being parted, others being rebuilt. There was a very good 4 door 318i, the daily driver of the owner parked at the door. There was also a mint 1989 Cabrio under a cover, in showroom shape. The touring was sitting there, the rear cargo space packed with separate parts. Interior seems correct, the upholstery has been done some time ago, no showroom material but still ok. Looks like it has been parked for a long while before being rescued. Paint was silver metallic some day, but is faded and dull, with some scratches here and there. No sun roof or electric windows, no AC or ABS, it was imported used to Portugal. The wheels are each different from the other, and bumpers are gone missing. There is some damage at the engine, like bent valves, things look like someone tried to change timing belt and gave up at some point. The seller is kind of BMW e30 specialist/enthusiast, and said the best route was to swap the engine, as they are so plentiful and cheap these days. He could do it himself, or let it go as is. We never got to discuss prices, as I don't know if I can handle such a project at this time. Is good to know the "e30" thing still runs strong, and people is caring about this great car. |

Yes in some places the e-30 is still strong. June 26th next there will be a large gathering of them just south of Tacoma, Washington.
The E-30 picnic it is called. A fun time to see a lot of other cars similar to mine. [www.bmwpugetsound.com] Bob in Lake Havasu |
