More random E30 kudos

Today I was getting into my E30 outside the hardware store, when a teenager in a Subaru cruised by in the parking lot, gave me a big smile and a thumbs-up, and said, "Sir, I love your BMW!" Given the overall ordinariness of my E30 (it's far from a show queen), this would be remarkable enough, but this is the third time this has happened in the past few years. This never happens with my other cars.
That kid will never know it, but he may have nudged me a little closer to spending money to get the body on my tired old iX restored and repainted. __________ Dave '91 325iX |

A good running iX deservesa respray, if you can spare the money!
This month is silly over here, lots of people come here from all over Europe for the summer hollydays. I saw a french e30 BMW318i, far from "show queen" shape but still very clean. Someone drove all the way from Paris, and is expecting to do all the way up again in it! There was also a 323i e21 and that one I saw the last year as well, Is good to see people enjoying their good old cars as they were intended, road trips!
